Welcomes our delegates to the City and reminds us why were all in the labour movement .
We are then addressed by Director of Cope Ontario - Janice Best . Sister Best , gives us
some historical facts about our past ( OPEIU) and the structure of Cope as it exists today .
Simon Berlin , National President talks about Austerity .......it's everywhere and it doesn't work !!

take action , fight back ,and vote in a new Government
We need to vote for progressive people that think like we do .
Our collective efforts will not be defeated .
Simon also warns of the re-introduction of Bill C-377 into the senate . What does it mean ??
It means , if passed , Labour Unions only , would be required by law to open their books to
This is showing your employer how much $$$$ you have , this would essentially weaken unions financially .
